I gave her the keys and sent her and my daughter out. She came back with that silly grin, you know the one that we all got the first time. She's hooked.
"We're gonna spend sooo much money on this car!" she said. She wants a 77, or a 69 (the year she was born) or an 82 CE, with the hatchback ("for groceries", she says).
We are now officially a 'Vette family.

My wife was afraid to drive my car at first but after a couple of nice drives I can hardly get time behind the wheel on weekends! she wants her own car now so the hunt has been on and I think I have found here a good 78 pace car

Vette(s): 1970 COUPE - LS5 454 - AUTO - A/C,PS,PB,TILT. WHITE WITH RED INT. PRISTINE - LIKE THE DAY IT WAS BORN. (Previously owned a White '76. Sold it in 2000.)
My wife refuses to drive my 'vette. (She does like the view from the passenger seat.) I'll just keep things as they are thank you. I offered to buy one for her, but she said she'd rather have jewelry.
If it makes her happy, go for it.

Vette(s): 1969 Daytona Yellow Coupe - ZZ4/4 speed, Hurst shifter, Griffin aluminum radiator w/ Dual Spals, March Serpentine Pulley kit, Hookers with STS Racing Baffles, VB&P Suspension bits, 17" AR Hopsters, L-88 Hood
My wife has never asked to drive my Vette. She loves the car but I think it's too loud and "vintage" feeling for her tastes. Like Kevin's wife, she prefers new jewelry to old cars.

My wife is 5 foot nothing, so she can't see over the long hood. Refuses to drive the car! Of course, she did say that she would drive a C5. Sorry dear! Ain't gonna happen!

My wife is not comfortable driving the vette. I think she would be comfortable driving a new one though. We had a 2001 TA with an LS1 engine and a manual 6speed that she loved to drive.

Must be nice! My wife doesn't even like my car! In fact, I am in the process of selling it to buy a C5.... It was part of our compromise. Deep down, I am almost hoping that the car doesn't sell (by the end of January, hehe). Then I get to keep it and finish it.
