My wife likes the '93 much better than the '69 but absolutely refuses to drive either of them. Looks like it is just gonna have to be maximum behine the wheel time for me |biggrin|

I'm still trying to explain to my partner why some cars are daily drive to/from work cars, and some (like mine) are not!

"You just put all that money into getting it running and now you're just going to park it and drive it once in awhile??"

Not to get off topic, but Eric, how hard was it to add the remote mirrors to your car? I have been thinking about adding them to mine.

Vette(s): White 1975 L48 Stingray 129,000 Miles, daily driver.
my lady friend has never driven mine, but she wants a 78 Pace 2-Tone WITHOUT the Decals(how Garish). My other best friend is just over 5' tall and she LOVES driving my 75 when she gets the chance, I just have to laugh at her trying to see! :)

My wife has never driven my vette either she says she doesn't know where the nose stops, I had to raise the passenger seat up some so she could see out the window .she says it looks as long as an aircraft carrier from the windshield to the nose. She does like to ride in it though, and go to the vette club events and don't forget the WAVES ,she's even decided to go to Carlisle with me next year. I have had my 82 for two years and my wife has yet to drive it. Now that I have most of the mechanical stuff fixed she says she is ready. But she says she won't try to park it in the garage. Should I make the big mistake and let her have a try at it? |headscratch|

Unfortunately, it is going to take a lot more convincing for my wife. If my car doesn't sell, I have EXTENSIVE plans to modify my car. I am looking at several tube frame options, modern wheels, and even the suspension off of a '91 ZR-1! That should tighten up handling just a bit! Anyway, good luck to all of you with your significant others!

I let my sister park mine in a garage once.... She kinda misjudged where the front is and while the bumper survived, the paint didn't. |ohwell|

Vette(s): Just purchased '79 L48. Red on Red with automatic transmission. In need of TLC and I hoping the experience and knowledge on this site can help me get this Vette in respectable shape piece by piece.
I hope I am as lucky as you and my wife gets bit too. I got bit when I drove my father-in-laws red C5 over the weekend about a year ago. I just bought a '79 L48 that is in need of some TLC and this site has so much experience and knowledge you will probably see me here a lot looking for advice. Congrats on getting your wife hooked!
