The white princess is sleeping for the winter.
Between tranny problems and fuel problems, I didn't get much ride time this year. Saw a little bit of snow the other day
Other than counting down the days to spring and daydreaming about what I would do to the white princess if I won the lottery... what do yinz 'winter' guys do to pass the time?

"Yinz"? I haven't heard that since I worked with a guy from Dubios
Lasat year I replaced the interior carpet and repainted everything on the inside. I WAS going to replace the spring this winter, but with the wife having the baby, and only 1 income, that will have to wait.
This year I will probably rip the dash apart and install a 140 MPH speedo and replace the burned out dash bulbs

This year with help from the Corvette Gods, I will pull the 427, detail the engine compartment, replace the vacuum lines in the engine compartment, drop in the new 454 and change the linkage to a Hurst. If the Corvette frown upon me, I will probably be found in mid December on my creeper frozen stiff and my wife will have to do all the work "in memory of me" or just sell the car "as is" .

I'm not one of "Yinz Guys" since i won't be wintering my Vette. Since 1/4 of my time in the same state as my car is in December/January...I'll be driving it every minute I can!
Wish me luck!

As it gets down into the 40's here in Las Vegas
, I'll have to be sure the mirrored T-tops are on before I drive the car to work- - - every day.
I would hate to not be able to drive my vette when ever I wanted to.
Sorry about the waiting period for those of you in the Northeast. I also cannot imagine trying to keep the vette on an icy road. Don't worry, when the temps reach 115 here the tops will be on along with the AC while most of you will likely be enjoying a nice ride with the top down or off as the case may be
All the best,
Andy

Around the Twin Cities metro area the month of October was the 3rd coldest on record. Have seen several days of snow showers, but it hasn't gotten cold enough for it to stay (yet!). And after also missing driving "The Toy" most of the summer (due to rear brake problems) I've been making up for lost time by driving her every sunny day we've had since getting everything put back together. And will continue to do so until MNDOT starts throwing salt on the roadways. Then it will be off to the winter storage spot until the April showers arrive.
This year I may have access to do some work over the winter. If the budget will allow it new carpeting and an overhaul of the seats (new foam and covers) are on the list of things to do.

Well, now that I know I'll have a garage floor while I'm home for winter break.. I'll probably be sitting in the car while its in the garage not going anywhere with it or doing anything to it because I won't have any money. If I find some cash, I'll probably do some little things here and there while I wait for spring break and summer to roll around. I'm probably going to look into getting my rear rebuilt with some 3.70s by someone I know, but I want to have new springs and shocks before I run it with new gears. I thing I badly need a rear spring because mine is parallel to the ground. I just can't wait to get home and put it into its new home.

Vette(s): 1979, 350sb, as my kids affectionately call it "shit brown" Corvette purchased in 1996. 84,000+ miles. Not a show car, but I love her just the same.
Along with everyone else I have to say, "Man, what DON'T I want to do with the Vette this winter?" But like everyone else, it comes down to available money.
Right now, and for quite a time in the foreseeable future, my baby shares the garage with all of my woodworking tools. The cover tends to get a pretty good layer of sawdust on it during the winter months, so I think my first project is going to be figuring out how to separate the two areas in an effort to eliminate the migration of those little dust particles.
But, if I had my druthers, I druther get her out of the garage and into a shop for a complete tranny overhaul - to stop the spotting - then into another garage for an engine rebuild.
I'll just cross my fingers.

I really I don't get much of a winter here, but I will be parking it and riding the Harley while I put in the new carpet and new seats with new foam, and re-shooting the interior trim as soon as the new DYE gets here after that I am pulling the motor out to do a full rebuild on it, hoping to be down only about a month. Still hoping there is no freak cold weather since I will be on the Harley during this down time.
