It seems it is always something with this 30+ year old car. I was replacing the wiper blade when the spring came dsconnected on the inside of the wiper arm. Checked with a couple of sites and they want $130 for a pair of replacement arms. I guess I will take this one apart and fix it.

Sounds like all you need is a new spring or did the clip that holds is break.
GM cars of this era used very similar wipers and on Vettes they are hidden most of the time anyway. Look around for a similar one at a wreckers. At least that's what I'd be doing.Just had to make a new pin that holds the spring clip in place. Not a big deal.
