I take care of my 73 on my own unless it is something that takes equipment I don't have like wheel alignments. Then I take it to people that know what they are doing.
Brian, I couldn't aggree more with you on that. I used to change my tires myself, but I found a place that has a $10,000 tire changer that doesn't maul the alaminum wheels. It also load balances the wheels. I might be exaggerating on the amount for the machine. The Tire Rack made them buy it to be a sanctioned dealer.

You can have enough problems with vettes, you don't need the bars. corvette440hp 2008-04-24 12:03:42

i do what i can , limiting knowledge and equipment, my good friend sal ( nosal1) helps me with most of the engine work, since he built it no ones knows it better. and a reliable shop for anything we can`t handle.
the `03 goes to the dealer ship ,since it is on extended warranty.
I'm curious about the "03", did you have many problems? Also how many years on the warranty do you have left?corvette440hp
I had only 2 issues with the `03. had to have the driverside window motor replaced, covered by warranty. the other issue is the squeaky rear brake. ever since i bought the car it has a high pitched squeal everytime you toch the brakes. I received a formal letter from GM that this is considered normal and that there is no fix for it. go figure a $47k vehicle that sounds like it needs brakes all the time. The mechanics told me to install ceramic pads and it should solve the issue. have n`t done it yet. the other thing is the top in a bit of a PIA to R/R it you don`t get the pins lined up properly you can tear your weather strip, Which I did. That is not covered by warranty. All in All I love the car. i bought a 3 year extended warranty above the the 3 year manufacturers warranty. 3yrs or 72K miles. Since the car only has 32k on it ,it will run out on time next january. it`s a real looker, i`ll have to post a pic soon.
Don't you just love the words "Not covered by warrany"? Post pics of your looker.........or did you mean hooker?
