Well, if you take it off, the door probably won't open, so you've done nothing! If you take the solenoid off, make sure you find some way to keep the air door open, or it's really a waste. I doubt you'll feel any difference at all. Might make a little more noise @ WOT, tho.

I know I'll have to take off the door,just want to be careful so I can put it back if need be.But you might be right that it will be a waste of time.
