I am so excited! I'm off from work today, and my dad is coming home at 2PM. After that we are loading the engine into the back of his pickup (Ford Ranger) ha-ha, and we are going to go to the engine place, and he is going to start working on the motor. I'm listening to Rammstien right now, and I bet my mom thinks I'm weird since it is in German... ha-ha.

Ha-ha Iron82, what the hell does that mean? Thnx on the good lucks. We went to the engine place today, strapped down that big stripped V8 in the pickup and dropped it off. The told me they were going to do this:
Stage 1 CAM
Flathead Pistons
clean my block, and heads, and give me new rockers. The rest is up to me. However I was a bit embarresed because when i got there and tlaked to the lady behind the counter how I was there 2 months ago and the owner 'Ray' said that he was going to give me an RV1 cam, and stage 1 pistons, she chuckled a little. I mean thats what I was told, and I did some research. However she did know a lot more abot engines than me. But there is the dad, mom, son, and daughter all working there, and they all know what they are tlaking about. But my dad asked him what he thought about my car keeping up the the 4 bangers... The guy laughed at my dad (not making fun) and then said are you serious? They won't compare to this engines power when I'm done.

Ha-ha I can't read German. They said liek 5-7 days for the engine to be complete. But to get technical maby a 4-6 months months. The headers are 385+shipping, the distrib is $359+shipping, the coil is $35.99+shipping, the fuel pump is $39.99+shipping, the carb is $259+shipping and the intake is $249.99+shipping, I need to get new motor mounts. I still need to install all the suspension bushings, grind the frame down (take all the surface rust off), and spray paint it black to fit the original color. This car is going to whip some serious @$$ on the streets, and highway ;) but before I can have any fun I need to work like a damn dog...... My dad and I jacked up the rear end, guess what we found!!!!!!! The shocks need to be replaced, the LEAF SPRINGS! are ok, The universals are good, the driveshaft is good. So all that needs to be replaced under there is the bushings, and shocks. The guy who is rebuiling the tranny knows my dad, and he's going to look at the rear end and make sure it won't bottom out when I'm speeding ;). Considering the car is 27 years old, and no one has ever looked at the rear end I think this is a good move.
