I bought a bottle and only got about half of it in.....seems to be working.
Figured the steering system was shot anyway.
Anybody else try this?????
It is from Lucas afterall.....

Temporary solution at best, Dan! Why don't you just wait until after the season and just fix it?

Barry

I most certainlly am going to replace the system. I just dont the have the $800 for the Boregson unit at Summit that Sarge recommended at the present time. Plus, Im getting tired of sweeping up kitty litter from all over the garage floor.
Plus it was only 10 bucks at Advanced...

Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.
I've use the product but not in my corvette. Like said it is a temporary solution and when it stops working you just start to leak again. So it really is not a big deal in my opinion. You buy yourself a little more time to a lot more time. I had a low pressure water leak in my Seville. I decided I was not going to pull the head so I stop leaked it (everyone said it would not work). It took me form 165,000 to 195,000 miles I gave the car to my brother-in-law he had driven it another 5000 miles. So my feelings are that kind of stuff is not a fix. But depending it may buy you some time. I also used similar product on a transmission. Worked the same bought me two more year of driving the car.
Yep that stuff will make anything swell up....... don't drink it....just sayin......

Ya'll know I ain't one to recommend any snake-oils solutions like this, but.....I did put some in the PS on my '74 a couple of years ago...before the Hot Springs Gathering in '08. It definitely did stop the aggravating leak I had, and I haven't added any fluid to it since. Of course, I hardly ever drive the dang thing, so....
I was of the opinion that it couldn't make it any worse, and, if it didn't stop the leak, then I hadn't done anything but spent a couple of bucks on it, and I still had to fix the leak....

Does work somewhat, i know dad had used it a time or two till getting a leak fixed, and my manager uses it in his 1 ton dodge figuring it was a bit easier for the time being than trying to pull off the power steering pump, which on a cummins diesel is gear driven and a bit of a pain to get to....
I would recommend that to get more than 'half' of it out of the bottle, is, to carefully put it in the microwave for a minute or two at a time, or maybe boiling water to help thin it out for pouring... but, you might want to check with mama so you don't get banned from the kitchen.. ;)
