I am rebuilding the steering and suspension on my 69 Vette, and have purchased a rivet set for attaching the new ball joints. Has anyone had experience with finding a shop to rivet ball joints on the a-arms? I am hoping a local machine shop can do it.

I have a '79 I replaced the ball joints on and the new ball joints came with bolts to replace the rivets that were on the old one so you don't have to have the new one riveted back on.

You can bolt them on, or you can have them riveted on (the original way). Corvette Central sells the rivet sets, and there are companies that you can send your a-arms to that will do it when they rebuild them (for a pretty hefty price). I am going to go with the rivets if I can find a shop to do it.
If you want, let me know and I can bring my pneumatic rivet gun over and we can do a test first to see if you want to go that route. You do have a compessor don't you? If not, I can bring that over to.
