Hello All, hope everyone is doing well health wise and otherwise.  Been a long time since my last post, haven't done much to my car for sometime now.  But with social distancing going full tilt in my area I'm going to use the time to my advantage....

This week I finally pulled the trigger on a Borgeson box.  Been looking at this upgrade for a long time and a couple of years ago I made the decision I'm not going to rebuild the control valve or replace push/pull hoses ever again!  Well one or more of those things are leaking again so now is the time.  But all I've bought so far is the box itself.  I know I'll need either a manual-style relay rod or the relay rod adapter (probably will go with the adapter and use my original rod) but my question is on the rag joint.  All the catalog descriptions say the joint must be replaced - why is that?  Mine is in good shape with good rubber, but are they different?  Do I have to use the actual Borgeson rag joint (Ecklers P/N 54069).  Also are the hoses from pump to box specific to the Borgeson?  Or can I use the stock-style hoses?

Sorry I don’t have the car at my house but I bought the entire package from Jegs that included the adapter, new hoses and a rag joint.  I’m pretty sure the hoses are Borgeson specific and the rag joint may have a different connection at the Borgeson box vs stock. As I said car not here so I can’t check but I know I had new hoses and a rag joint too and I replaced them with the stuff in the kit.  PS very happy a vast improvement  there’s also a support bracket you can add to the frame where the box bolts up to help with the flex.

Thanks for the info, Mario!  Yeah, I've been wondering if the connection at the box is different for Borgeson vs stock.  Looks like there's a set screw on the Borgeson one.

Anyone out there that's done the Borgeson upgrade and can verify?

Thanks!
