Hello Guys

I have a 77 and the right front caliper locked up while I was driving. I managed to get it home and ordered a new caliper. I replaced it and started to drive it again it had a little drag at first but nothing serious. where I got home after abour 45 min drive the entire trim ring was black with brake dust. So the caliper is still locked on more than it should. will this work it self out you would it be the portioning valve?

Thanks

Change the caliper hose(s) first, especially the one on that side. The hose can collapse on the inside, and not allow the fluid to release from the caliper. Sounds like a classic case of hose damage.
If there was a problem with the p-valve, it wouldn't just effect the one side. Get some new hoses, install, and bleed. That should correct the problem.

If you want a little better feel...little stiffer pedal then spend a little more and get the stainless steel lines.
