@ adamsapple
you should be able to tell which one it is just from a picture on the car.

I believe my '69 big block has the original booster. The only identifying number on it is near the vacuum port. It is either 4240 or 424D. I will add pictures as soon as I figure out how.

The MBM booster is a Delco reproduction....I've been told that it is a GM authorized replacement for the Bendix style booster originally fitted to some cars but I have no data on what years of corvette had the Bendix. Where is the incompatibility? Is there a gap or space between the new boosters push rod and the plunger on the MC? If this is the case and you were to order a new deep hole corvette style reproduction MC they will come with an adapter to fill that gap. Its about a 1" long round steel plug with a machined recess on one end (to fit the booster rod in to). The MC is designed for power and manual brakes. You use the spacer for power...no spacer for manual. I sell these parts but have not tackled the booster install on a corvette....yet. Will be converting to power brakes in the near future. Dave

My Christmas present to ME! Bought Sat 11-30-2013. 72, 350 4 spd, Silver with blue interior...Can't you just hear Pablo Cruz playing in the background?

the bolt spacing for the master cylinder was wrong.  I would up getting a rebuilt original.

here is my latest update with very little progress this year.  I did remodel and expand my house and my side business made twice as much money in 2013 as it did in 2012.  This left little time for the corvette.
