I've just got hold of a used VB&P composite spring but have no fittings to go with it, looking at the pictures on their site it shows an isolator between the spring and the platform on the back of the diff, I'm guessing rubber but have no idea how thick it is, can anyone help me here.
I have some 2mm gasket rubber which I could use if that's all it is.

I went to their website. Apparently you can buy the springs with either rubber or polyurethane bushings depending on the rating of the spring. and see if the can sell you the mounting kit.

Do NOT be tempted to use anything other than the correct mounting isolator/mount/cushion on a 'glass spring! The rubber cushion is there for a reason. Fiberglass/composite springs are really stout....unless they get a scratch or gouge in them....then they explode at the worst possible time. The center mount SHOULD be part of the spring itself, anyway....I've never seen one that came without it. As a used one tho, someone prolly cut it off for some reason...
The end bushings, where the spring attaches to the trailing arm can be rubber or poly...your preference there, but get the correct mounting bushing for the diff/spring seat.

I didn't say the mounting pad had been cut off and I'm well aware of the necessary precautions when fitting a composite spring which is why I need details of the isolator shown in the VB&P drawing which fits between the spring and the diff.
The spring is available from VB&P as a bare spring which is what I've got what I need to know is what to add to the bare spring to enable me to fit it.

Still waiting to hear from VB&P in reply to my enquiry, the rubber pad under the spring is there but showing signs of breaking up so I imagine the upper isolator broke up when the spring was removed, there seems to be a steel plate with a location stud on top of the missing isolator, is that correct?
Is there another steel plate between the lower isolator and the spring clamp plate as well, I think there must be as there is no mark from the hole in the clamp plate.
I'll try another e-mail to VB&P in the mean time.
