Vette(s): Silver '81 mostly original C3. Silver interior, bilstiens, big sway bars, headers.

So I've been told that it's time for new bushes on the lower control arms, which seems straight forwrd enough...  except I'm a bit wary of those big coiled springs they have stuffed in there !  Had a search on C3VR for any past forum content about how to best approach this (safety paramount of course) but couldn't see anything. Any contributions / advice welcome !

Thanx

Chris (down under)

PS - I'm sure you're all watching the Rugby World Cup final in London in 14 hours time,

New Zealand versus Australia, aren't you ?    Yeah I'm sure you are ;-)

Try something like this: http://www.tooltopia.com/wilmar-w89311.aspx?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=paid_search_google_pla&scid=scplp8636501&gclid=Cj0KEQjwqsyxBRCIxtminsmwkMABEiQAzL34PZZN-WgEnttBLTW5EkA45uscEYHw-820Kmo-q_n8MakaAu1g8P8HAQ

I borrowed one from someone when I replaced mine. Easy and safe to use.  As I recall I had a jack under the spring before I started the compression and removal process.

My brother and I were just talking about the match over dinner tonight.
