Hello All,
I've recently noticed some "bouncy bouncy" after driving my 82 through a dip in the road.
The nose of the car goes through several oscillations then, damps out ok. She has
65,000 miles on her and I bet it about time to think about shocks. I seem to remember
this being a common complaint about the 82s.
Any input would be helpful. Thanks.
Still havin' fun in the Sun.

Have you checked the shocks ?

Go with the Bilsteins! A little pricey, BUT you'll love the results!

Gary, only YOU could come up with THAT one!

Barry

Definitely your shocks...shouldn't bounce more than 1 time.

Wow!
Thanks for the varied responses. I did use Bounce sheets when I had to wrap up Baby for
the COLD New England winters. I'm pretty sure I have removed all of the Bounce sheets. So, that
can"t be it....
I'll do some more research on the shocks. I've never replaced shocks before but, the front
calipers and rotors were a first too. Those are still working.
The roads in this area have lots of washes which make the dips. This bounce has just started
(or I have just noticed it) in the past few weeks. It does not appear to be getting worse. If
I slow down to 45-47 mph they are barely noticeable.
Thanks again for the responses.

Keith, replacing the shocks is prolly the easiest job you can do on it. Just hafta get it up in the air, take some fasteners off, and swap the shocks...easy-peasy, quick and easy! UNLESS everything is rusty as heck...then it's a different story....ya might need a smoke wrench at that point....
