Good morning!
I took my 1974 Corvette Convertible to the shop recently for some brake related issue and they informed me that I would need to replace the Master Cylinder. Could anyone point me in the direction of a reliable part for a 1974 base engine (J) model?
Thanks in advance!
Rock Auto.
Might check some of the aftermarket Corvette suppliers that don't sell Chinese parts.

Just an F.Y.I. I.M.H.O. The rock is not solid.
Well, they sell ACDelco master cylinders. You think the Corvette aftermarket guys aren't selling Chi-nah parts?
I'm aware of that! I have one, and it is causing me problems.
Any chance you have a part number for this model? I need to figure out whether my C3 has powered brakes and disk breaks so I can order the right master cylinder.
Thank you!
It has disc brakes. If the master cylinder is bolted to the firewall then it doesn't have power brakes. If it's bolted to a power brake booster which is bolted to the firewall than it does.

Local parts houses will usually have new and/or reman master cylinders in stock. Haven't had any issues with any of the ones that I have used, so....
