My 1982 will need new tires soon! It came with Uniroyal TigerPaws, nice tires, run well and wear great, but they make a lot of road noise. I've had this brand of tire before and they seem to be made of "hard rubber" but last a long time and excellent mileage.
This time I want some quite tires, can I get some suggestions for a good, low road noise, quieter tire? They must also work well in rainy weather, like here in Arkansas. The tread style that expels water tend to make more noise.
Terntes.

Old discussion but BFG TAs seem to be the tire of choice for many here.

I like Firestones, wear seems pretty good and they run quiet.

Vette(s): My 1974 Vette sold last August 2014. I am still willing to show up to events and local gatherings if anything happening No new vette yet.
I have Firehawk 500s on mine which are firestones and they are the new generation of the tire originally used my car back in '74.

I have the same tires as Movie Collector, Ghengis Jon and DaveM, the Firehawk 500. They are noiser than the last set that I had, but I am not sure how they are compared to the T/A.
I heard that the Michlins are quiet.
