The new shocks came with a packing strap around them (top to bottom). Does this get cut off before or after install??????

If not....DO NOT CUT STRAPS UNTIL SHOCKS ARE ON MOUNTS AND SECURE!

Well now...it really depends on if you are able to remove the shipping straps after installing the shocks. The rears won't be a problem...the fronts may be a different story....kinda limited amount of room in the front to get to them to cut the straps off....

Stay tuned for more dumb questions to follow...........
There's no dumb questions, Dan! What is dumb is NOT asking questions and then screwing something up! Most of the answers you get on here are as much EXPERIENCE as KNOWLEGE! No sense in making the same mistakes someone else has! We're all here to help! (most of the time!)

Dan, I guess that I'm dumb (ebo
made me that way) because I cut mine as soon as removing them from the box. I does get a little tricky installing them but it's wasn't such a problem. You have to compress them then be quick about running the bolt thru.
