Vette(s): 1979 L-82, 3 spd auto, car was originally Lt. Beige currently painted Sportsman Red, Doeskin leather interior, 103,000 miles......

Well its all done.....

New spring installed, trailing arms painted, shocks installed.

If it I had to keep it up on two wheels any longer Pennsylvania was going to make me register it as a motorcycle.......

I did it all by myself. This was a milestone for me....I did have the moral support (and watchful eyes) of all  my C3VR buds, and a huge supply of information from the site.

Im totally shocked (no pun intended) that I can now push down on the rear end and get some bounce. Ive never had that before. Like I said it rode like a solid axle lumber wagon.

I cant wait to drive it....

So a big thanks to all of you for the help, information and motivation!!!!!!

All in all the shock remount was the hardest part.....Apparently prior owner in putting on those monroe shocks squeezed the upper shock mount so tight and I had to beat it open for the new upper mounts to fit.....

You know, I always thought the rear of your car looked a little low! You probably had no "spring" in the spring!  Big smile

I always use a tiny dab of anti seize what I slide the chocks on. Always one on and off nice and easy...

Like it? noooo way I love it.....

Its awsome...how do I describe it....like someone parked a new vette in my garage while I was sleeping....

One of the most notable changes is the lack of squeaks and rattles in the cabin.

I took some bumpy roads and it was a super smooth ride.
