do any of you c3 owners have any advice on using polyrethane suspension kits versus rubber components.

I've been asking this same question recently and was told the poly kits will give you a firmer/more responsive ride, last longer and are easier to install. The downside in my mind is that they tend to squeak after awhile. I don't know about you but "squeaks" drive me nuts. I guess it would also depend on how you intend to drive it, cruising or race. I'm probably going to go with the rubber replacements.

The poly bushings I bought for my front sway links came with grease fittings and can be lubed. Some of the poly bushings you can buy are graphite impregnated and are not supposed to make noise.I like poly bushings. |cheers| |wavey|

I installed a complete PST suspension kit in my '81 about 5 yrs ago. The bushings are polyurethane/graphite impregnated. I have yet to hear a squeak out of my suspension yet. The car handles like it's on rails. They even have a 20 yr warranty.

I used the Performance Suspension Components "G" machine kit. It comes with upper and lower ball joints and impregnated bushings, inner and outer tie rod ends, idler arm, KYB shocks front and rear and front and rear sway bars. Cost is about $650.00 plus shipping. They were very good. Got the wrong sway bar bushings, one call and the right ones were there the next day. No squeaks. I run 275/50/15 on the rear and 265/50/15 on the front on stock Rally Wheels and the car handles like a go cart. They advertise in almost every car magazine. Don't confuse them with PST though...two different companies. i have had friends who have had trouble with PST when they bought springs that did'nt make the car sit level and got a big run around trying to return them.
Good Luck
