Thanks in advance again for all your help, here goes on another request
can anyone post a clear exploded views/photos of the steering column on a 1979 vette. ive stripped part of it before, some parts have arrived ie indicator mechanism and i have ordered to horn parts off the column also,
having part stripped this before i know how complex it is, really concerned that i strip it down and i get problems either on the parts or actual position of parts. i can do a photo strip down but any help on the issue would be appreciated.
Also if there are any common parts that fail, info would be great as i can order them in advance (usually takes about two weeks to get to me through our customs etc UK)
anyway thanks again, look forward to your support,
thanks,
Brian

Does that info help? It should pretty much show every aspect of the tilt/tele column, but if you have any other questions, ask away.
There's no real "common" problems with the columns, other than normal wear/tear. If yours has the headlight dimmer switch on the turn signal stalk, that will prolly be your most aggravating pieces to reassemble. Just keep track of all of the parts as you take them out. Pictures/video is a great way to help when memory fails. And of course, the C3VR gang is here to help.(with info...not with actual hands on help
