I am considering new tires for my 1975 Vette and don't really know what to put on it. I am going to run spoke mag wheels on the car. Can someone PLEASE give some advise as to brands, etc. Thanks!!!

Vette(s): White '79 Corvette. It's a driver.

I have the BFG T/A's on my '79. I have no complaints.

Many members here have had good things to say about the Firestone Indys.

Take a look at www.tirerack.com for prices and selection.

Kevin

P.S. On a '75 you may want to go with the 225/70 15. The 255/60 15 might rub.

Lots of threads on the tire topic.  Most people including myself have Firestone Indy 500 series tires.  Good grip and excellent ride.

The Firestone Indy 500 tires are the ONLY way to go! Good wet and dry traction. Great ride. No brainer!

I've no experience with the Firestone's, but can recommend BFG Radial T/A and the Cooper Cobra.  I've had very positive experiences with both.  It's been awhile, but I've had Dunlop's in the past and liked them as well.

Vette(s): 1976 Stingray matching numbers. Stock 350 rebuilt, comp cam, roller rockers, push rods, 2.02 valves, +.30 flat tops, frontend & suspension rebuilt Dec 08. Interior from firewall 90% July. New exhaust, Collector plates, Paint will have to wait...& wait.

I have a 76 and put on BFG TA P235/60 R15's, very happy with them, lots of tire for the looks and handling. I also had them on my 74 when I bought it new, worked just as well then. Good luck with your decision.
