Howdy, below is a shot of my single vacuum source from the backside of my carb. I have converted to power brakes and need to splice in a vac source for the booster. Currently I have a white check valve then a metal 1 in /2 out valve. Where would I add a "tee" or appropriate valve/splitter part for the booster. Maybe there is a valve with 1 in / 3 out for power brakes? Ecklers has a metal vacuum pipe that threads to the back of the car for the booster supply...but then where do yo source the other vac from? On that metal valve, it might be leaking when the car is not running. If I plug either of the service ports and and suck on the other it bleeds air through the single (supply/carb side) port. Probably shouldn't do that right?

Thanks,
Dave

Dave, I do but mine come the front ports on my carb.  My vacuum port, to the brake booster, comes from the area you seem to have a plug in at the upper portion of your picture next to the vacuum lines you have coming out the carb.  I have a crate motor in mine and I'm going off the pics I took.  The car is in storage.  I'm positive you'll get someone with much more knowledge than I to chip in.

Dave, take the plug out of the manifold, and put in a fitting for the PB vacuum right there. Leave the line from the back of the carb as is. That is what runs the headlights, and basically everything else inside the car...HVAC, etc. Thumbs Up

On the metal check valve, you should be able to suck thru on the single port, but not on either of the other two ports on the other side. It is a one-way valve. If it is leaking, or completely open, the headlight and wiper motor will usually open when you shut the engine down, or get on the throttle hard.

Easy enough, Thanks!
Concerning the check valve, my wiper door will rise partially and then shut when I first fire the car. That's about it. There is a definite small leak in the valve. I'll source a new one. Also when I first fire the car I have to build up vacuum before the headlights will open....maybe a good 30 seconds....thinking the reservoirs are empty....and I just found that my vent/heat regulator has no functionality. The air blows out of the defrost and floor equally regardless of position. Temp works, fan works. Unrelated?
Thanks, Dave

Not unrelated...definitely a vacuum leak situation...

I emailed you the vac diagram for the HVAC system....Thumbs Up

Got the diagram, greatly appreciated! This morning I discovered 3 open "vacuum" lines tucked behind the radiator overflow. Spoke to the PO and he tells me they are for the windshield squirters...which he couldn't find the nozzles so he stuck them in there. Friggen bowl of spaghetti this car is....rubber hoses everywhere.... :-0
