Topic: When to replace rear wheel bearings?

[QUOTE=JimG]
If you want to take them off yourself, you can always send them to a place like Van Steel for rebuild....
BTW, 2cruzn just did his on his 73. I'm sure he can give some advice and tell you what rebulder did his bearings...

I got mine from BAIR's complete with new "US" rotors and all, but Paul (AKA)LukesVet has a good source. I would have gone with them too but I just decided to go with BAIRS. Shipping was less and he had them to me in about 5 days. He also sent my core charge back in about 3 days, no problem dealing with them, and i talked to the owner. Paul has a lot of experience doing them too. Just gotta be patient... not particularly hard to replace like I did with everything done, ready to bolt back up... cost me $325 each with rotors... I also replaced some bushings, emerg brake cable, brake lines and half shaft universals...

[QUOTE=Adams' Apple] There are spindle supports that have grease fittings in between the two bearings, and a lot of folks like that set-up.

That sounds like a great idea and wouldn't be all that hard to set up. I'll have to look into it.
