All:
Attached is a photo of the radio in the 1968 Coupe that I have acquired and am starting to return to the road as a driver.
I know that it will never be shown or judged, but I'm curious if this is the original radio for the car. I have every reason to believe it to be, but have not had a chance to check its' operation. Also, I have not pulled it out to check the part numbers (if any) on it, but just wondering about it for giggles.
My experience is that forums such as these are the best source of information.
The face Looks o.e.m., but knobs do not. Others will offer the correct info as time progresses.
'68 only radio knobs...same as with a LOT of other '68 only stuff...

Same knobs on my 68 vette!! Original
OK Here is the official answer from the NCRS "Technical Information Manual and Judging Guide". It does appear to be original, and original to 1968 only.
In 1969, the knobs were changed.
