What you have is a rare(comparatively) combination, Mike!
It is factory, and they started this in '76. While not exactly worth the cash of an L-88, they are considered a little more valuable than the single colored interiors.
The white trim combo was only available with certain exterior colors:
White
Silver
Dark Green
Mahogany
Buckskin
Dark Brown
Red

The "712" is for Dark Firethorn.
I'm not sure if there were any deviations on the codes, as far as the two-toned interiors, tho. I see nothing in the books that would show a different number, and I have never heard of there being a second "option" number for this. I would bet it is original.
It is possible that the only way to absolutely verify it would be with the build sheet/order copy, normally found on top of the fuel tank.(if you're lucky!)
I doubt that anyone would have change the interior out just to get the white stuff. It wasn't really that popular, as it does tend to get dirty. They had the same option on some of the Mid-year(the so-called "C-2") cars, too.
I say keep it clean, and enjoy it!
