According to Corvette Black Book, Oyster Leather is 122.
Oyster cloth is 12C.
Leather or cloth/leather seats were a choice.
I don't believe the interior color would be different.
Hope that helps your paint supplier.
You might want to take a piece of the interior to them and have them match it.

thanks,
yes i think ill take one of the seat backs to the paint suppliers .
its mainly the plastic bits i want to spray.

also
has anyone used seat dye on the leather seats to bring them up to color or change color.
my color is oyster which is very light. i have the chance of some second hand seats but i will need to change the color to oyster.
from something like doeskin.
do you think this would work ?
thanks,
brian

Doeskin to oyster is probably OK.  Since it is seats, they will eventually wear and need to be redyed.  I have seen the color last a couple of years before needing touch up.

Vette(s): 78 White/Oyster all original. Purchased from original owner

It is nice to hear from another Oyster interior corvette.  I have a 78.  On the seats I purchased replacement skins.  It is a very simple process to take the old off and install the new.  I choose this path rather than dye.

I did purchase dye paint for several of the plastic pieces.  I don't understand the issue with sending you paint.  I just checked UPS and it is allowed.

If I can help, let me know.  I travel to Darlington,Daventry, Kent and several other locations in the UK several times a year.

Always willing to help a fellow Oyster guy.

will they not ship the aerosol can's or the paint period, I think they sell paint in larger cans that's not pressurized? I got the oyster as well, let me know it turns out! I haven't messed around with my interior yet so it would be nice to know how yours come out.  Newcastle? I been there. Great place, great people up there too! I wish I would've stayed longer when I was there.79rebuild2008-06-20 21:32:14

I tore the whole Oyster interior out of my 78 last year (it was still the original) and put all new in.  When I did I also took off all the plastic parts and re-painted them.  If you follow the guidelines clean and then clearcoat the paint, it turns out really well.  What I did not take out I taped off what was not Oyster and painted it still installed.
Good luck anything I can do to offer any help just let me know.
Visited England last year again for 12 days and can't wait to get back.
