Vette(s): 1981 - 59 Beige over Cinnebar leather. Edlebrock top end, 2200 stall w/shift kit, 3:55s, Mufflex maniback exhaust, nice stereo, 16 in AREs w/BFGs

Ok bear with me, I have a few...

* The stock radio was swapped out years ago and has a new bezel. Will the standard 1 din fit without a major headache?

* Before I go nuts, how hard is it to replace the dash speakers?  Any recommendations

* Same question on the rear speakers

* Power antena, again any suggestions?

Thanks guys!

Vette(s): 1981, Black/Black, Engine bumped to about 400HP.Ext/int mostly stock.

I wasn't quite sure what you meant by the first question, but if you were asking if the factory bezel would fit a DIN mount stereo receiver, no it will not.  It only accepted shaft-mounted stereos.

Front dash speakers are a pain because the windshield is so close, but it can be done.  Be very careful about the depth and magnet size of any replacements, as their is just no more room for anything bigger than the originals.  My replacements had a slightly bigger magnet that caused me TREMENDOUD headaches getting them installed properly.

Rear speakers are very easy to replace, but I off the same warning about size.  I have to do quite a bit of cutting to get the 6x9s I wanted in there because of the larger magnet.  The bigger issue os that the factory rear location is not a sealed enclosure, so it produces very low volume and base, even with high-end speakers.  If you value audio quality, you'll want to consider some speaker box back there ot Bazooka Tubes, or what I did was install the 6x9s in place of the rear compartment doors (the doors over the battery and jack).

Power antenna: go to ecklers.com.

Thanks for the info..  LEt me clarify the stereo question..  The original double shaft radio is long gone.  It has an 80s vintage pioneer am/fm/cass nonshaft and a new bezel.
