I need to remove the center gauge cluster in my 68 (installing a new oil line for the oil pressure gauge). Thanks to an earlier post by Vman73, I am ordering the Assembly Instruction Manual which should help when it arrives. In the meantime, I'm looking for guidance on removing the bezel. I did manage to remove nuts from the studs on the bottom, and have all the screws out from sides/top. I can tip the top of the bezel out, and have the bottom loose, but there's still a lot of pressure and I don't want to break it. -- THANKS
First time posting for me. Looks like a great forum to be part of!!!
I think you have to lift it up as you pull it out at the top to get the studs out of the bracket at the bottom but I'm not sure as it's been a long time since I had mine out.

I just removed my dash on my 77. Remove your passenger map pocket. Remove screws from side panels of center console, 3 on each side. Remove screws from dash pad. 4 screws hold center console on top. Under console is 1/4 5/16 screws, 1 on each side. Attaches center gauge section to center console. Put masking tap on center console, so cluster doesn’t scratch it. Left up a little and pull towards you. Hope this helps, good luck!
Thanks All - I ended up removing screws from the center console, and from the parking brake console, then shifting both of those up and back a couple inches. This provided the best clearance to remove the center gauge bezel without breaking anything. It was a real pain to remove that much, but worth it to keep everything intact.
