I'm having a heck of  time finding Header Strikers for my 68 vette.  Any help I can get would really be appreciated.  I've tried Corvette America, Mid America, Volvette and a couple of others but can only find them for 63-67, not for a 68.  HELP!

What the heck is a Header Striker.  In my line of business we call that a Hammer!  lol.

If you know Corvettes then I don't need to answer that question.

He does know Corvettes.  Many of us do.  None of us know it all. Notice no one answered?  I never heard of a header striker either.

I vote for what happens to the exhaust when you hit a dip in the road.

If your talking about the striker for the convertible top, they don't call it a header striker, they call it a convertible top latch striker under the search I did.  If this is not it then I can't help you, but here is a link to what I believe you are looking for.

I also have a bairs catalog and they appear to have all the pins, latches, springs, and the strikers.  They also carry used pieces as well and can probably assist, plus they are a sponsor of c3vr.  Good luck

Excellent, I will look it up then.  Thanks....  It's called a header striker in the 63-67 model years then and must have been changed for 68 but that sounds like what I'm looking for.  Thanks again.....

I just checked....that is for the center latch, not the ends.  Corvette America has them listed for 63-67 and are called Softtop Header Latch Plates but they don't carry them for the 68.  I should probably look to see if they might work although the 68 uses 3 screws and the ones for 63-67 use only 2.

Look back under some recent threads.  Somewhere in the last couple of days.  There are some post metioning some Corvette bone yards that have some hard to find stuff.   I would look up the thread if I had some more time.   I will try to find the sites if you can wait until tomorrow.  I'm running out of time tonight.
