I recently purchased an 82 Vette & am in the process of restoring it, the interior seems in pretty good shape, but I am unsure about the color scheme. It's a 2 tone combo with black & oyster? It appears to be original but I am unable to verify it. Anybody out there have any knowledge of this?

Hi Bob,
Near the hinge of the driver's door, you will find a label. It will have your build code on it. Go the the research drop down menu and select C3 Corvette Build dates. You will be able to decode the data there for your car. Also included are the paint and interior codes.

Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.

(off topic) You will want to become a member of this site as you can get a ton of information and help.
(on topic) Good place to get paint when you have the code is any local autobody supply shop. Or you and order from a supplier off the net. By the way most autobody supply shops can put paint into a spray can for you if you do not have a spary gun.
(off topic) You need to purchase a 82 Corvette Shop Manual if you do not own one. Nothing else is worth a dime when it come to working on your car (especially a crossfire system).

Ive seen some two tone interiors that looked great. Unless you are the NCRS type, and there is certainly nothing wrong with that, dont worry about it not being original color. The car only has to satisfy one person... YOU.
Yeah, I agree! If YOU like it, all is good! Unless you have some special edition get in and DRIVE it! Cruising and showsare what our Vettes do best!
