Thanks to all who gave me their opinions on radio systems a while ago. We went with the Alpine with a cd player. Got it pretty cheap at cicuit city and they put it in.The only thing they screwed up is now my lighter doesn't work
but if the car is sitting in the driveway and the radio is on you can hear it in the house
will fix the lighter myself
Now I gotta go get some cd's and throw out all the 8-tracks

luvmy76,
Getting a new radio for my '82 is high on the list for the spring.
Glad to hear you like the Alpine and that Circuit City has a good price.
I have to find out why my lights for the gages aren't working, so I will get both done at the same time.

The ground wire on the lighter is very short, bet it fell off. I had the same problem.

Yea I had a hard time finding a Power conveter to operate the turntable, so 8 track it was. ( I actually have one, and some tapes, don't know if they work. )
