Hey everyone,
So I'd like to hear if anyone else has done any research on this topic... What is the best value for a replacement interior?
I've got a 74 convertible if that helps any
I'm looking at carpet, seats and doors.

Vette(s): 1979, 350sb, as my kids affectionately call it "shit brown" Corvette purchased in 1996. 84,000+ miles. Not a show car, but I love her just the same.
Imran:
Best pricing I've found so far has been through Corvette Central. They sell the complete package. Everything you're looking for. If you don't have their catalog go to their website and get them to send you a free copy.
(Hint) If they offer express shipping of the catalog for a small fee, take it, otherwise you'll be waiting 8-10 weeks!

Well I redid my interior last winter. I just resprayed the seat buckets, and replaced door panels I got from another vette guy. I just purchased my carpet from ACC direct and put that in myself. Can't really help you if you want to buy the whole kit. Why not take your time and replace a section at a time?

Well, the seats are all torn up and have a cover over them, so they have to go. While the seats are out, I might as well change out the carpet. And putting on new doors is like another 30 minute job. So I figured I might as well do all of it at once. I guess the doors can wait
Imran,
If your not in a big hurry, try out Ebay. I scored some pretty good deals on interior parts for my '81 over the past few months. For example, Door panels (new)-$380/pair vs.(Mid-America)$300/each. Not everything is cheaper in Ebay, just sometimes you can come across decent deals on certain items.
Speaking of Mid America, (if you don't have time for Ebay) they have a interior package sale listed
for 68-76-vinyl seat covers,carpet,door panel & sunvisors-$949.99
,or 68-77-same thing except it has leather seat covers-$999.99
,or w/Deluxe door panels -$1299.99 (www.madirect.com)
Hope this helps out!
Good luck! Sarge

I was told by a local outfit that Corvette America (one of C3VR's proud sponsors) offers a deal (free installation during the 1st quarter of the year usually) on recovering seats if you buy the foam and covers from them (and I think C3VR members get a discount on purchases). I don't think it includes shipping though. Check with them directly or through a local dealer.
And as mentioned above eBay has some good deals on things occasionally.

I've had alot of luck with Riks Corvettes in North Carolina. They have complete interior packages under $900.00. Their service is awsome, and delivery is pretty quick. I plan to order my interior from them this spring. www.riksvet.com
Good luck...

Has anyone out there tried putting later model door panels, say 80,81,82, on a 68 to 72?I have a 70 T-Top coupe. A friend of mine has an 81.I`ve taken a few measurements and it looks like they would fit, with some attachment modification of course. My 70 has power windows and I was thinking of adding door solenoids so I don`t care about penitrations for the door handles and window handles,I would`nt need them.I think the later door panels are much cleaner looking than the older ones,as long as you don`t care about originality.Unfortuneatly, my 70 is too far gone to restore so I plan on totally Hot Rodding it.I think the later model door panels with a couple of C5 seats would look pretty nice, not to mention the comfort of the C5 seats over original(I also have a 2001 six speed convertible...and...a VERY nice wife)Anyway,if anyone has either tried this and failed or tried and was successful I would love to hear from them.

Excuse me John, but door solenoids? Not to sound too ignorant, but what are they? What do they do? I'm assuming from the way your post is written that they somehow replace door handles on the inside of the door?
