The metal catch, inside the top of the glove compartment, which catches the door latch when you close the glove compartment has broken. This means the fiber glass, which the two clamps attach have broken. I've tried gorilla glue, and other glues but they just don't hold after opening or closing the glove compartment door.

Has this happened to anyone and how did you fix it? Or I'm open to any suggestions. I have a couple ideas but I don't want to re-invent the wheel so to speak. Thanks!

Can you fabricate some new tabs with some fiberglass?

I've never really worked with Fiberglass and the tabs are only, maybe a 1/4 inch each. Might be difficult to create something that small, not sure. But will look into it. Thanks

You could make the tabs longer if there's room which would give you more surface area to bond to.
