Low miles (was only 8,900 when I bought it in March 2006) - Now 54K miles. Original owner bought it as an investment for son's college expenses.

I'll soon be posting my plans for what changes I hope to make for my car, but for now, I've got a question - how difficult would it be to put C5 seats in a C3? I thought I had seen posts on this, but I looked and all I saw was one on C4 seats.
At this point, it's just a thought, but I am watching some good looking seats that are close enough to drive to pickup, plus the seller has another large part that would need picked up that I am interested in.
Thoughts? Would custom rails need to be built, or do you think it could be done with parts between the two?
I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!

I've seen a C3 with C5 seats in it, but I can't remember where
If I come up with it I'll let you know, but they did fit, don't know about the rails.

I looked at one this past weekend and they looked great. I asked about the install and the owner said that he transferred his C3 rails to the bottom of the C5 seats. He said that he had to space the C5 seat frame off of the C3 rails a bit using washers to allow for clearance of the manual seat adjustment mechanism. He did not attempt to connect the C5 power seat assembly. He lives in another state so I have no fruther contact with him. He did mention that they sat higher and may pose a problem for tall folks if they were using "T" tops with liners instead of the glass tops. Hope this helps some.
