I am ready to install new carpet set this weekend. Has anyone completed this yet? I have put heat shield / insulation down and trim is removed. My old carpet had (3) holes in the rear pc for fasteners, other than that, does carpet simply glue down? If so, should I glue entire section, or just at edges? Any help is appreciated.

I used the 3M adhesive in a spray can, worked pretty good, but after a minute of setting up it does get awfully sticky. Be sure to glue all of the carpet, this way it won't wrinkle or bunch up later. It takes some time, but looks really good if you keep your patience. Also check very carefully that the carpet is the right size before you glue it, they say the carpet is precut, but i don't buy it.

The carpet will need trimmed. I installed mine and fitted completely including seats for a few weeks before going back and glueing in just make sure I was happy with the fit. Just an idea you may think about.

Thanks. I looked at your pictures - Great Looking Car!
Hope mine turns out like that.

Thanks, thats good advise. I have Permatex Headliner / Carpet adhesive I used for heat barrier. It seems to stick real well too.
Simple tip to make it go smoother....lay the carpet sections in the sun. They "assume the position" much easier around sharp angles. Little diddy I got from an Eckler's how-to tape.

Is there any order the carpet pieces should be installed? should the wheel wells go in before the rear deck piece? Front floors before the piece behind the seats?
Thanks, Rick
