Hello all,
I have my dash apart due to frozen eyeball vents and various air leaks from the blower through the duct work. I've repaired most of the issues but cannot seem to get the center distribution duct in right. My car is a 1974 Convertible and has additional bolt on bracing to help eliminate cowl shake. With the brace between the transmission tunnel and steering column I cannot seem to get the end of the duct (part that connects to the driver side duct to the eyeball vent) up high enough to align with the high center vent/center console grills. I do not want to lose it but may have to modify the brace. I was trying not to remove the speedometer and tach section again if I could help it. Anyone ever had this problem?
Also, everything vacuum and electrical seems to be working fine but I do see a 2 prong plug (looks like a 3 prong but only 2 contacts) hanging with a pink and dk. blue wiring. I don't remember now if it was dead plug or if I forgot to connect it back somewhere. It's a short wire on the left side of the radio and center gauges.
I appreciate any feedback on this
