Topic: Console Plate on 82 CE ??
in Forum: C3 Interior
Hey folks, I think someone is asking me a trick question :-)
I've got a guy asking me to take a picture of my console plate on my '82 CE. The cars has 454 miles, and is an untouched original.
But I don't think the '82 cars had one. I've had a few 80-82 Vettes, and never once saw a console plate.
By console plate, I mean that metal tag that you'd find on the early 70's cars between the shifter and parking brake. It would show engine size, horsepower, etc.
Did any '82 ever have one?

Our '82 CE's nor any '82's have those console plates nor anything like that but I know they had those like the early '70's. If that is what they are asking.
Did you let them take a photo??
either trick question (they are trying to catch you) or someone who doesn't know what they are talking about. None of my 82CE brochures or GM documentation talks/shows any type of plate. The entire 82CE was unique with its paint/decal and special interior leather. I think this buyer doesn't know what he is buying -- scary...
