Hey everyone, things are going good, just a little slow.  I got my interior almost finished but have caught a snag.  The center dash and tach/speedo clusters use a smal metal clip to hold the dash illumination lights inplace.  This clip also acts to ground the bulb and complete the circuit.  My problem is that several of mine are in bad shape, and I can not find them anywhere.  Any ideas?

Hey there SGM,

Have you tried either the parts retailers, like Mid-America, or a paint and body supplier. Usually the paint and body suppliers have a book that lists every clip that can be found on a car and may have what you're loking for depending on how well stocked they are. There's a vette parts scrapper by me - I'll keep my eye out on the next venture and keep you informed if I see anything.

All the best,

SSG Lukas

Its been a while but if I remember right, I believe the spirial clips that holds the lite sockets in the metal gauage cans are part of the lite socket, and the lights are grounded by a ground wire that attach to a spade connector attached to the gauage cans.

I took my clips that came apart from the plastic connector and put a small amount of glue on them after I straightened them out, and put them back together. After waiting for the glue to dry, I put in new bulbs and reinstalled. They work great. No problems.
