The door ajar light goes on and off when I go over a bump yet the doors are securely closed. Is this a problem with the connection behind the dash or is it a problem at the door switch?

Is the dash light connection accessable when you take off the side dash panels on the passenger's side of the drive train hump?

Thanks, in advance.....

my light did the same thing, flashed when i hit a bumb. it was the door switch, i purchased a package of felt pads with one side sticky from home depo, stuck one on the inside of the door where the door hits the switch. no more blinking door ajar light

Mine used to be lit up whenever I was in the car. The door simply didn't close right and the light would go on. The felt pads should do the job just fine.

Dave,
I had a problem once where my interior lights stayed on becuase the door sensor was adjusted too low. It took me a while to figure out that the depth of the male plunger that the door mates with can be adjusted simply by turning it. That plunger is in the door jam near the door hinge -- the pluger closer to the door handle is the alarm sensor. GOod luck! |rollysmile|
