what is the secret trick to install a new glass bushing? This is the nylon bushing closest to the A-pillar. I snipped the 4 little prongs to get the old bushing removed and swapped over the o-ring but for the life of me I cannot push hard enough to snap the new backing onto the new bushing. I dont want to use a socket and rubber mallet unless unless those of you who have done this say its the only way.
Thanks

You might try heating the nylon bushing in hot water to make it more flexible or carefully heat it with a heat gun.

Thanks for the idea but I still could not get this to snap in place. Any one with another idea?

Well, heating the part did work, I just wasn't persistent enough first time. This time I boiled the water and let the part soak for a minute. Then I used a socket over the locking end and squeezed with a medium channel lock plier. Quick and easy.

Never done one, so no help, but glad you were able to figure it out!
