Hi , I have an issue lol .. My windows work perfectly ,,  and my interior door panels are in perfect shape , BUT when I close door or hit a bump I can hear rattling inside of the door and I think it is the window glass because if I leave window up a tad and hold it as i close door I get a nice solid close with no rattle .

Any idea whet I should look for once I pull the inner door panel

Thank you ! I am trying to figure out where the anti rattle bumper mounts and if I need to pull the door panel to install it

Vette(s): 1974 coupe. 350 CID with Turbo 400 trans. Decal says 8.5:1 compression. Needs paint and AC replaced but don't plan on full restoration. Car runs strong. No big problems so far. 67,000 miles on Odometer, probably rolled over
I have the same issue. I am seeing more than one culprit though. The control rods can rattle as well as the glass
I am going to replace all I can.
there are door control rod anti rattle rubber bushings and window glass anti rattle cushions.

you can get them at Corvette Central or I believe Ecklers

It looks like you will have to remove the door panels

If this will help here are two pictures showing the glass cushions and control rod grommets two cushions at top of door

It has been over a year since I started. I had to quit the project so the car just sat in the garage. I was able to get started again in May 2012. As of July 27 2012 I have done the fiberglass repairs and applied Slick Sand High Build Primer.

Copy and printed ! I actually can see the original bumpers and the felt is gone on 1 and worn bad on 3 , Also If I push fingers into top of door and hold window tight the doors close with a nice solid thud , no rattling at all  .. Which is important because that rattle makes the car sound like a junker when in fact it is easily a 9 out of 10 in all areas ..

Door rattles be damned , man battle stations the door panels are coming off !!!!!

THANKS ALL !!

I don't think there is ANYTHING that can be replaced without removing the door panel! It's not that bad a job, anyway. I should know, I took my driver's door panel off three times in one weekend! (don't ask)

If it has power windows, the rattle noise could be the window regulator has broken loose from the bracket that holds it to the bottom of the door frame. The replacement brackets are stainless steel, and last a little longer.
