When I was at Bloomington Gold a couple of weeks ago, I saw door panels for a 78 that I liked better that the ones that go in my 73.  I have to get new door panels anyways since mine are trashed.  Since the newer ones arent cardboard I was also thinking about maybe modifying them some and covering them my self.

Anyone have any reason why this wouldnt work?    I am assuming the door itself was never redesigned and mounting points moved.

The panels are different, as is the metal structure of the door. It changed in '78. I don't know if it is possible to modify either the panel or the door to make it work, tho. (The door locks, handle, and armrest/pull are different.) Adams' Apple38896.8283796296

sounds far more difficult than what  had in mind, if it didnt involve any of the metal, i might have given it a shot
