Take the whole glove box out, 4 or 6 screws(can't remember, and NO pic), and you can pop them right out. Took em out of my black 79 just because the glove box is useless for anything else with those stupid things in the way.  Mike

Mike, Mike, Mike.....you've come to my rescue!

Joel's got me searching for what he describes as a 'rubber component
displacement tool'...Tuxblacray's threatening to send me something
called "Harmony" by the actual Three Dog Night...and Ron's encouraging
him...Micki wants me to hang on to the bleedin' things...apasbigal's
chiming in about the 'rubber component'-you-know-the-rest...Ken's
advocating firing up the chain saw...Tuxblacray's adding even more
cartridges to the pile, including Deep Purple, Alice Cooper---and B-B-B-
Bread...Joel's claiming I'm probably a secret Wayne Newton freak....

and then, just when I thought I was doomed to a life of nothing but
cheesy '70's music played through an equally cheesy audio system (if you
can even CALL an 8-track an 'audio system').....just at that moment, you
post with the simple, clear, direct, ear-and sanity-saving solution.

(OK, so would it have KILLED you to have thrown in a photo, out of that
vast collection??)

Anyway...thank you, MK, for rescuing me from this band of loonies.
Maybe I'll make you a nice mix tape as a token of my gratitude.

Say, a little Donna Summer, in with some tasty Olivia Newton-John,
coupled with a classic David Cassidy tune or two, followed up with the
immortal KC & The Sunshine Band. All on an auto-reverse cassette. With
Dolby, naturally.

I'll have a photo tomorrow!! Don't know why I would not have such an important Corvette detail forever preserved for posterity. Mike

I've a few more 8 tracks you can have--the in home player doesn't connect to anything anymore.  The plugs don't fit.  By the way I still have a couple of 78's that aren't too scratchy.  Anyone like Liberachi in his younger days?

Liberachi???  He's dead.   If yer gonna play some dead guy's music, then put some Hendrix in there and ROCK!   Huuummm....I would like to hear a Breast of Bread tune, where do ya buy that, on the internet???    TOO FUNNY!!!

Good luck with the chain saw!  If ya like, Joel & myself can come take it out with the chain saw and then it would be a "Texas Chain Saw Massacre!"
