Mike to da rescue...again!

Looks like those dividers just have a couple of "tabs" on them, and slots in the compartment. Is that how they are, or do the dividers have some other type of fastening system

btw....where's the "Frampton Comes Alive" tape?

They just fit in the slots. With the box out you can flex it enough to get em out without breaking them. Remember, these are valuable original parts! I did look for some 8tracks for the pic in my tote full of my DAD's old records. Even he didn't have any.   Mike

Ron, lookin through the tote for some 8tracks, I was reminded of my father's taste in music. Lots of Frankie Yankovich albums!!! Polkas and country stuff. Needless to say, the tote will remain CLOSED!  And hey Joel, where did your taste in music come from??  Mike

Frankie Yankovich...Nazareth...Chicago...Gene Tracy's Truck Stop #5...

know what, guys 'n gal? You've made me decide to keep these racks in
place after all.

After all--how could I live with myself, not being able to carry around all
that great music??

Envision the scene, if you will.....T-tops off, rallye's spinning, mighty L48
humming....

and polka tunes playing! How much better could cruisin' in a Corvette
be?!?

So thank you, one and all, for contributing your thoughts to this thread.
But the 8-track racks will remain in place, for the enjoyment of C3-lovin'
generations yet to be born!
Ya know it would be purty good ta load her up wit some vintage tapes. Ya know like deep Purple Machine Head, Alice Cooper Killer, Beast of Bread, etc. Would be great conversation pice! Unless Micki's SCUMBAG THIEVES come by ta rip these off too!
i actually drive around with a few stuffed in the glove box- mostly santana and bob dylan or whatever i snagged from my uncles used tape bin.

the cassette rack was an add on from the dealer i believe, and it should snap out pretty easily.
