Well the entire interior is done or at least I thought it was.
I put the new door panels on last (boy are they a PITA) Anyway after the panels went on and I hooked the battery back up the driver sie window will not go up all the way ... what gives? I know I did not move or touch anything inside the framework and the battery was disconnected so the motor could not have moved but now there is a problem. I really do not want to take that door off but was wondering if I missed something or does anyone have any ideas on what might have happened??
Thanks for any input
By the way I'm really happy with the way the inside turned out. Looks brand new.

I know, I know, PITA!! But yo gotta take the panel off again. Sounds like that you may have knocked the top adjustments out of alignment. With the panel off, run the window up and down, You should be able to spot the problem.
Let us know How things turn out.
Good Luck //
I had a similair problem with my drivers side power window, it would only
go up a few inches but would go down ok,i took off the panel and it worked fine. I tightened up the bolts holding the power motor and put the panel back on and the window continued to work ok. the motor was a little loose maybe it was jamming the mechanism
I think I figured the problem out. I had cranked the door panels on too tight at the top screw and it was pinching the window when it tried to go up.
But when I had the panel off and was looking over the window mechanism motor I noticed it was moving quite a bit (forward and backward). Is it supposed to move or should it always be up aginst the door frame, (where it looks like it is supposed to be)
Tried to see where some bolts were to tighten but all the ones I found and could get to were already as tight as they would go.
Thanks for any help/suggestsions

That wasn't it. I looked up the electric window assembly in a manual I have and it looks like some rivets may be loose that are supposed to anchor it all in place.
Anyone know if this sounds right? At any rate the window still does not go all the way up.

gofast, You may as well get ready to take the door off and do some tinkering. Widow regulators and epecially power windows can be such a pain, I found out after changing a regulator. But I found that after two window motors and two more regulators its not that bad. ZIP's tech data had a tech article on how to replace the rollers on the side wundows of a C-3. Even though it was not talking about changing motors and regulaters. I really gave a good step by step set of instructions. About ajusting the window this drove me crazy. But I found a solution in the GM assembly manual where it discribes how windows are installed and ajusted on the assembly line. It was very useful it simply stated losen all ajustment bolts on the window, bring it all the way up with door closed ajust window and tighten bolts from inside the car. Hope this helps.

Thanks sqm2004 and 2cruzn -
great info from you guys. Looks like its time to bite the bullet and get my hands dirty again. It's not much of a problem as I try and not drive it when it's likely to rain ( too much fun with the tops off), but don't want to get caught after all the work on the interior either. Thanks for all the help.
