Topic: Gas Gauge
in Forum: C3 Interior
On my first real outing with my car yesterday The gas gauge was bouncing around like a ping pong ball.Is this a sign of a bad gauge ,or is it the sending unit? The oil pressure gauge may do this once in a great moon.but the other gauges don't move.

With the advent of the electronic gauges in '75, I'm not sure how they did it, but there will still be some sort of resistor/buffer in the circuit somewhere, possibly still mounted to the back of the gauge....

Thanks for the insight guys.I'm not going to worry about this for now, like Rich said it dose get annoying.I know when I stopped on the way home to get gas the gauge was bouncing between E and 1/2 a tank.I am just going to have to make sure I have plenty of gas not the bean kind eihter.Rich I will let you guys know if I can make Corvettes for Chip, have to see how things gose. This job is going to the bottom of the list.
