Went to move vette into garage and there was the gas pedal laying on the floor. Looks like there is a pin and a little spring looking type clip do hickey attached to the pedal and just a metal stem coming down from the under dash area? Figure I would ask for in sight before "FATMAN and Boy BLUBBER try to squeeze into that area to look around.
thanks for the info,
L

Sounds like it's all there, Larry...you just gotta figure out how it goes back together!
I can't explain how the pin fits thru the spring, the pedal, and the rod, but I may have a pic/diagram somewhere that will show it. If no-one else has one handy, I'll see what I have, and send it yer way...it may be in da mornin, tho...

AIM shows the installation. Pin holds the pad to the rod. Spring keeps the pad in "foot" position. Clip on the end of the pin.

I bought a new pedal for mine, and it took me a minute or two ta figer out the spring do-hickey. But I did, and if I can do it, I'm sure you can do it. Ya just gotta get yer head down in there an take a little gander.

It aint easy to get it right and get it to stay, but you can do it!
The pin should have a notch in it and the center of the spring has a flat spot. The flat of the spring catches in the notch to hold it in place.
Good Luck!

Sorry to hear that but sounds like a easy fix.
Or you could just sell me the LT1 and I'll fix it!

I remember when I was trying to get into replace that stinking fuse, atleast you don't have to go as far in as I did.
