I cant seem to keep the cable locked into the control lever. Every time I think I have it I slide the lever back and forth and it comes out. I even bought a new lever thinking the old one was just worn, same problem. What am I doing wrong? |headscratch|

That would be a ty-rap. I dont think this would help my problem. My problem is the metal ball like fitting at the end of the cable, it keeps poping outof the hole in the lever. Is this what you had?

Its been a few years since I did mine. If memory serves me,mine had a loop on the end of the cable that kept slipping off a peg on the arm.Sorry I couldn't help you out.
