Does the carpet with the high beam switch pad just sit on top of the switch or should the pad/carpet be cut to let the switch poke through? |headscratch|

It seems to buckle the carpet when sitting on top of the switch.

I replaced the carpet in a 70 Nova a few years ago and the carpet set came with a rubber/plastic? insert that the high beam switch poked through. You had to cut a hole in the carpet to put it in. Maybe someone like ACC (Auto Custom Carpets) would sell one seperately if you gave them a call. Mike

Your car should have a pedal over the switch itself. It looks like a small gas pedal and is screwed or riveted to the floor. The carpet goes OVER the pedal. Some carpet sets have a vinyl pad stitched into the carpet at this location. Don't cut the carpet. |no-no|

The carpeting sits over the dimmer switch. There is supposed to be a foot pedal over and in contact with the switch and the carpet has a vinyl wear pad that is close to the same size as the pedal. |cheers|
